Regular Board meetings in August – May are held at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the Education Service Center, 1516 Washington Street, Waterloo, on the second and fourth Monday of each month during the school year and usually once a month in June and July. The meetings in June and July begin at 5:00 p.m.

Board meetings, including discussions are generally, and board actions are always conducted, in open session. The Board only convenes in Closed Session, as provided by the Iowa Open Meetings Law, to discuss such things as personnel evaluations, litigation, real estate sales, and purchases, and student expulsions. Notices of Board meetings are provided to the public through posting at the Education Service Center, 1516 Washington Street, Waterloo, and through announcements to the local media. Agendas for meetings are posted on this Web site on the Friday prior to each Monday Board meeting. Meetings are broadcasted live over MediaCom Channel 19 in Waterloo and rebroadcasted the first Tuesday after the meeting at 9am, 1pm, 6pm, and 9pm.
