Come and enjoy the fantastic food and entertainment of the diverse cultures Waterloo provides at Culture Fest 2016, Thursday, April 7, at the Waterloo Center for the Arts from 5:30-7:30 pm. Learn about new cultures, taste delicious food, watch students perform dances from their different cultures, and view the All-Student Art Show.
CultureFest began in 2008 as an expansion to the Waterloo Center for the Arts’ annual Waterloo All-School Art Exhibition. Since then, CultureFest has grown to an annual event where thousands of kids of all ages and their families take advantage of the opportunity to experience their community’s rich diversity.
CultureFest and the All-School Art Exhibition are free and open to the public thanks to the sponsorship of Tyson Foods, and the collaborative work of the Waterloo Community Schools, Waterloo Center for the Arts, University of Northern Iowa, Hawkeye Community College, Waterloo Public Library, Volunteer Center of the Cedar Valley, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, YWCA, and many local businesses who are donating their resources.
The Waterloo Center for the Arts is located at 225 Commercial Street in downtown Waterloo. The Center works in partnership with the community to build a stronger appreciation for the arts and to provide cultural experiences for people of all ages.
