Come and enjoy the fantastic food and entertainment of the diverse cultures Waterloo provides at Culture Fest 2012, Thursday, March 29, at the Waterloo Center for the Arts. Learn about new cultures, taste delicious food, watch students perform dances from their different cultures, and view the All-Student Art Show.
The Waterloo Community School District has joined with Area Education Agency 267, University of Northern Iowa, Waterloo Center for the Arts, Waterloo Public Library, Hawkeye Community College, and several other community organizations, to sponsor Culture Fest 2012. The event, which is free and open to the public, is set for Thursday, March 29, 2012, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Waterloo Center for the Arts, 225 Commercial Street and will showcase the changing face of our city through music, food, art, and exhibitions.
This event will offer a variety of cultural encounters designed to educate, entertain, and strengthen our resolve to embrace all cultures within our community. The All-School Art Show, featuring student art in grades K-12, opens the same evening in galleries throughout the Center. Last year nearly 1,000 guests attended CultureFest.
