Camp Invention Announced

Inspiring the next generation of innovators!  Camp Invention is returning June 15-19 to Lou Henry and Lincoln Elementary.  A limited number of scholarships are available based on financial need.  These scholarships are only available through the Waterloo schools.  Please watch for more details.

Participants will become investigators, engineers, and scientists while creating inventions to solve exciting challenges.  Experiment with STEM concepts (science, technology, engineering, and math) in four fun hands-on modules each day.

  • Explore the science behind the five senses to design a bionic ear, eye, and hand
  • Experiment with circuits and gears
  • With inspiration from famous inventors, create your own invention
  • Build a motorized “morphing” vehicle to take home!
  • Design an epic, insect-themed pinball machine

The camp will be at Lincoln and Lou Henry Elementary June 15-19, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm, for students entering 1-6th grade.  Lunch and a light snack provided. Transportation available upon request.
