Healthiest State Initiative-Blue Zones Project

Congratulations!  Iowans passed the Healthiest State Initiative Challenge with over 9,300 walkers in the Black Hawk County.  Thanks on behalf of this great state.

Now we are asking you to pledge again, directly to the Blue Zones Project to qualify the Waterloo/Cedar Valley to submit an application to be a pilot community.  Blue Zones are geographically defined areas where people live measurably longer, and if we all Pledge to Live a Healthier Life, the Waterloo/Cedar Valley has a chance to become one.

Please go to http://bluezonesproject.com/citizens/signup TODAY and pledge to live a healthier life.  We need to prove that we all want the opportunity to transform our community.

When pledging, please use the city and zip code of the town you would like to see the Blue Zones project help!

For more information, please visit the Blue Zones Project website or contact Katie Elliott at ext.1334.
