Absences / Homework Passes / Messages
- The attendance office would like to thank you in advance for consideration in these matters.
Absences are excused only if:
The school is notified within 24 hours. We can be notified by phone or in writing, which must be signed and dated, with a telephone number where you can be reached.
- HOMEWORK may be requested only after 3 days of absences
- STUDENT MESSAGES are only given in EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
- PRIOR AUTHORIZATION is needed TO LEAVE THE BUILDING FOR ANY REASON
Nurse / Illness:
- If a student is ill, they need to see the nurse. If the nurse is not available, go to the attendance office. Students are not to call from the classroom to go home.
PLEASE ALLOW 30 MINUTES TO FIND A STUDENT:
West is a very large building and has many activities. Sometimes a student is not where they are scheduled to be because of many circumstances. (Examples: in the restroom, between classes, seeing a counselor etc.)
