April 17 Senior Meeting regarding graduation
April 26 The First Official graduation list. The first official graduation list will be posted outside the Student Services and Main offices. To be on the list, students must be passing all classes needed to graduate, have met the 250 requirements in reading and math, paid all fines and fees, and have any necessary outside credits complete
May 3 Deadline to submit Senior Honors Program information. Must be sent via email to: thielenb@waterloo.k12.ia.us – must include scholarship name and total amount of award – note “Honors Assembly” in subject area
May 6 Last day to pay fines and fees by check.
May 8 Cap & Gown distribution. Caps & gowns will be handed out during a Futures Assembly. Students must have their names on the Official Graduation list to receive their cap and gown.
May 15 Senior Honors Program – 9:00 AM in auditorium
May??? Final exams (Schedule to be announced by individual teachers)
May 17 Noon – Last chance to have names included in Commencement program. The final list of names will be submitted for printing. Students must be on the Official Graduation List at this time to have their names in the program.
May 20 Last day of classes for seniors
May 20 Commencement Lines of March & Seating 3:00 PM is the last time for seniors to get their names on the list to walk in alphabetical order for commencement. Students who get added to the Official Graduation List after this time will walk at the end of the line, out of alphabetical order.
May 23 Commencement practice at the McLeod Center-9:00 a.m. Students are required to attend practice in order to participate in Commencement. Emergencies or unusual circumstances that prevent a senior from attending practice must be cleared with Ms. Morris. Being scheduled for work is not an acceptable reason for missing rehearsal.
5:45 PM –All graduates should be at the McLeod Center.
6:15 Final attendance taken– Graduates not in line at this time will not be in the ceremony.
6:30 PM – Commencement Processional begins.
