The Waterloo Police and Fire Departments are offering a four day Safety Services Career Camp this summer in July. See Dr. R in Student Services for an application.
Seniors! Be aware that tomorrow at noon is the deadline to be cleared for the graduation program. If you would like to have your name in the program, you must be cleared for all fees, grades, and online courses. Questions? See your counselor.
Today kicks off the 2012 State Track & Field Championships at Drake Stadium in Des Moines. Wahawk Girls competing are Meghan Payne in the High Jump, Ieashia Moore in the 100 dash and Haley Puk in the 200 and 400 meter dashes.
Competing tomorrow are Meghan Payne in the Long Jump, Blaire Thomas in the Shot Put, and the 4×200 squad of Ieashia Moore, Shy Jefferson, Nikki Miles and Alix Risse. Best of luck girls.
Track girls are reminded to get uniforms turned in to Coach Longus asap to avoid being billed!
Reminder to the girls’ tennis team: stop by room 220 by tomorrow to let Coach G know what you’re planning on bringing for the pot luck banquet and how many people will be attending.

The West High Culinary Classes will be hosting a silent auction during A, B & C lunches tomorrow in the Commons. Please come ready to bid on the outstanding array of Culinary treats all baked and packaged by Mrs. Hulme’s Culinary artists! If your bid on any item wins it will be announced during the beginning of 6th period on Friday and you can come to the business office between classes or after school to pick them up. If you are the highest bid you will be responsible for paying for the item even if you do not pick it up. As a preview….all of the items can be viewed in the main entrance hallway Friday morning before school!!
