YMCA’s Y – Care Before and After School Program (grades K-6)
Parents looking for safe, educational and fun activities outside the classroom can take advantage of the YMCA’s before and afterschool program. Combining play with academics, the Y’s afterschool program fills gaps in schools and the Cedar Valley by offering enrichment through art, physical education, sports and nutrition. Youth in the Y’s afterschool program receive homework assistance, recreational activities, arts and crafts, and snacks. They also engage in character development, health and fitness, service learning and youth sports. Before and afterschool programming at the Y focuses on the holistic development of youth, promoting creativity, a love for learning, academic success, friendship and character building. Financial assistance is available to those in need, to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn and grow at the Y.
The Y-Care program currently serve the following schools: Edison, Orange, and Poyner Elementaries.

Before Hours: 6:30 AM – School Begins
