Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa

Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa partners with the Waterloo School District to provide Junior Achievement programs in all classrooms Kindergarten through 8^th grade.  Volunteers engage students in solving real-world problems related to Work Readiness, Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy to better prepare them for the complexities of both work and life in the 21st century.  Every year Junior Achievement utilizes over 450 volunteers within the local schools.  Volunteers are needed to lead weekly, 30-45 minute lessons in local classrooms. These programs last from 5 to 7 weeks, depending on the grade level.  Necessary program materials and 1 hour of training are provided by the Junior Achievement staff.

Volunteer Opportunities in the Waterloo Schools with Junior Achievement

 Junior Achievement is looking for classroom volunteers for the Waterloo Schools. Volunteers lead class room discussion and games focused on Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, Work Readiness and STEM skills!

Please consider the volunteer opportunities below and if you are able to help. If more than one weekday is listed in the Day column, it just means the teacher is flexible on which day you choose.  Please call Junior Achievement at (319) 274-0760 to get signed up.   Let the Junior Achievement staff know which school, teacher, time and day of week that you will visit. The K-5th grade classes involve 5 classroom visits (1x a week for 5 weeks).
