The Waterloo Community Schools Foundation is pleased to announce that we will be awarding grants to Waterloo educators for the 2013-2014 school year. We are seeking innovative grants that will incorporate the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) into teaching and learning. We are excited about the potential of funding your innovative ideas, and hope you have been thinking about possible grant requests.

Please review both as you compose your grant application and share your ideas with us. Grant applications will be due by March 5, 2013. Because of limited funding during our first year, most individual teacher grants will be capped at $1,000. Team or school grants may require a higher level of funding. The Foundation will fund grants with the highest potential to positively impact students within the district to the best of our ability.
Here are some tips for the Grant Application process:
Due to the length of this application and the depth of thought required, it is highly recommended that applicants compose responses to each question in a separate word processor like Microsoft Word. When the response to each question has been thoughtfully composed, simply copy and paste the text into the website submission form, then submit the application. This reduces the risk of losing valuable work in the event of browser or internet failure.
